How we run groups
Once your contact form is submitted, our administrative team will schedule an intake phone call with our paediatric psychologist, Jacob.

Our sessions target one key social concept at a time, giving your child time to learn and practice the skills with guidance from our experienced group facilitators. Each session involves:

-
Psychoeducation for your child in an interactive and enjoyable way
-
Structured activities where each group participant has a specific role to play
-
Unstructured activities where free play is encouraged

We run our groups in this way as it allows for a learning experience that is relevant to the day-to-day experiences of your child, where the social skills they learn can be applied in several different environments and a range of social situations.

After each session parents will receive an information guide on the social concept learnt in the session, how to support continued learning at home, and observations on how your child went during the session. If you have any further questions on how our groups are run, please feel free to contact us.
